“There is no one right way to live.” This quote shows the idea of Ishmael's that everyone is in a prison and lives a certain way. But if we get out of that prison then people can see that there are many different ways to live in this world. "Man is not alone on this planet. He is part of a community, upon which he depends absolutely.”  This quote represent the idea that human beings see themselves as the only important species on the planet. We destroy environments and forget that they are the homes of other species. We do everything for our own gain and we don't realize that what we are destroying helps us live and that is why the planet is dying. “But why? Why do you need prophets to tell you how you ought to live? Why do you need anyone to tell you how you ought to live” This is the idea that we always need something to look up to, something to follow in order to lead a purposeful life. Big Ideas: 1. I think that reading the world and the word helped me write about how I read and write and helped me when analyzing Freire's quotes and implementing them into my essay. 2. Reflecting on my past experiences was the core of my essay. Looking back and thinking about what happened to me as a younger child and how it affected me today was a big part of how I wrote my essay. I wrote about my past experiences and just wrote the story of my past that came to my mind. 3. My thinking process while reading is to just read and try to understand the text, and if I don't I annotate or search things up to understand. 4. I usually just read if it is easy to understand but if it is confusing I analyze the text and try to make sense of it by annotating or researching it. 5. My annotation process is to just write or summarize text that I don't understand. 6. My writing process was to just write what came to mind and then organize it and make it into a coherent essay ...

Planning and Replanning "the creative mind always has a plan, but that plan always includes planning on replanning" I think that this quote encompasses the chapter quite well. When thinking about rethinking and restructuring it involves a lot of replanning. There is a reason that "re" is in all of those words. Rethinking is essentially replanning. I feel that when I plan something, there is always replanning involved, mainly because everything does not always go according to the original plan. So because of that replanning IS always part of the plan. This quote doesn't only apply to writing, but applies to almost anything in life that has to do with planning.
